About Leadbitter Training

Throughout the project Leadbitter is committed to ensuring that the local community of Butetown benefits from the Regeneration of Loudoun Square. The construction industry offers many opportunities which suit a variety of skills and interests; from unskilled to professional careers. Building Loudoun Square enables us to demonstrate those careers and the processes involved, providing an opportunity to inspire, educate, train and employ local people.

Leadbitter has already begun to work with local schools on health and safety and careeers events. We have spoken to the University of Wales Cardiff (UWIC) and have offered the project as a case study for construction students. We will also offer work experience opportunities to local schools and colleges and we will also employ local people throughout the project to ensure the people of Butetown benefit from this major construction project whilst it is on their doorstep,
