Safety and the Considerate Constructor Scheme

Leadbitter are committed to working with the Considerate Constructor Scheme. In recent years we have achieved Gold, Silver and Bronze Considerate Constructor Awards and we would strive to ensure that our approach to the environment, the community, our colleagues and staff would lead to use being nominated for an award in respect of Loudoun Square

The Considerate constructor Scheme started in 1997 and is a voluntary Code of Considerate Practice to which contractors can choose to sign up; it is a non-profit making scheme founded by the construction industry to improve its image by encouraging performance beyond statutory requirements.

The Code of Practice commits contractors to be:

• Considerate and good neighbours
• Clean and Respectful
• Safe and Environmentally conscious
• Responsible and Accountable

All registered sites are monitored by experienced industry professionals to assess how it is performing against the Code; reports are produced for each visit.
